Banshee // Communication Service

Irish origin. First recorded 1200 CE. Developed by the Communications Division to commemorate the spectral messengers of sound. The Banshee’s cry, once a death omen, was reinterpreted by field operators as the first emergency broadcast — a voice that carried vital information through fear itself. Her sigil was used to mark early signal towers and listening posts, and later adapted into radio emblems for the Archive’s acoustic monitoring network. Still issued to communication specialists and sound archivists who work the static channels of the deep.
